Scottsdale Diamonds of the Desert are united by our core values of friendship, fun, civic engagement, and cultural sustainability in the Phoenix metro area. We are "Sisters" with long-lasting friendships that embody the phrase "Diamonds" are a girl's best friend." Our primary objective is to build and engage a diverse base of multi-generational women that will position us for long-term growth, relevance, and sustainability.

We are thrilled you stopped by to learn more about The Scottsdale Diamonds of the Desert!
We are a collection of twenty-five unique and precious gems dedicated to friendship through supporting each other, empowering our community, and enjoying life while doing it! Our organization was formed from a combination of longtime friends in many of the same societal and civic groups in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Through the years, we have grown to include new friends who all enjoy the finer things in life and celebrate with each other.
Living in the desert, we appreciate the beauty of our surroundings and the vibrant lifestyle that comes with it. Whether hiking, shopping, golfing, attending sporting events, enjoying a spa day, or working for the good of our community, Diamonds do it with sophistication and sparkle.
We value our friendships, treasure our time together and work to encourage, support, and inspire one another to live our best life!

The Valley of the Sun
The Valley of the Sun, or just The Valley, is one of Arizona's fastest-growing metro areas. This contradicts the perception that The Valley is a retirement community. Its population grew 20.7%from 2010 to 2020. The state's population grew by 16.1%, outpacing growth in the U.S. population (6.7%). The Valley has a population of 4.9 million, with 25% of residents between the ages of 24 and 39 (Gen Y). The African American population has grown 123% in the last 15 years. Growth in the African American population has attracted several of the Divine Nine fraternities and sororities and other leading organizations to the Valley of the Sun. In April 2021, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated® hosted its Western Region Convention at the Chandler Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona. In addition, Jack and Jill of America and The Links, Incorporated now have two chapters each in Arizona. Black businesses and services continue to flourish, and the Valley is the home to The Black Theatre Troupe.
Our home is in an excellent place for a spa day, hiking, tennis, pickleball, golf, and exciting parties.

Dales become "Diamonds."
If there were ever a group of sister friends whose friendships have come shining through year after year, it's the Scottsdale Diamonds of the Desert. It is no surprise since these friendships have been finely polished through more than three decades of memberships in Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, The Links, Incorporated, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated® – all in addition to sharing a world of interests such as The Book Club, The Birthday Club, The Spa Club, and The Golf Club. Since we were all a part of multiple groups and enjoyed each other so much, we began to combine our meetings. As friends do, many of us found ourselves expanding our club relationships, socializing with our spouses, and sharing our children's adventures, travels, and personal ventures. It just came naturally that a group of dynamic women who were already bonded as friends would develop an interest in forming their chapter of an established organization. In 2016 we started affectionately calling ourselves "The Dales" (short for Scottsdale).
